With an exceptional design, surrounded by the dignified facade of the Städel Museum of Art, the Holbein’s opened its doors in 1999 and was reopened with a new gastronomic concept and redesigned interior in 2012. While being an adventure café with bistro cuisine during the day, in the evening excellent restaurant with demanding kitchen: Enjoy a break from art with fine dining!
At lunchtime, the gastronomic concept of the Holbein’s offers a special business lunch menu as well as sushi, wok creations, salads and dishes of the day. The extensive offer does also include uncomplicated, but delicate snacks such as pastrami sandwiches or a special homemade sausage creation. The menu card will therefore please the museum visitor in the same manner as the discerning guest during his business lunch. Mouth-watering French and Austrian delicacies made by the in-house patisserie add the crowning touch to every visit.
In the afternoon, the sweetness of life can be enjoyed with a coffee and the famous homemade cakes, until our kitchen staff starts the evening by giving free rein to their culinary passion and winning the heart of every gourmet.
